SCIENTIST APPLICATION

The scientist and citizen scientists opportunity is available to taxonomic experts from a wide range of disciplines as well as citizen scientists who are community naturalists willing to assist with a specialty group. Spaces are limited so please apply soon. The majority of participants will be camping in two designated areas. Plan to bring your own tent and basic camping equipment unless other arrangements have been made. Limited space is available in housing for those with particular needs. Meals will be provided starting with the Welcome and Orientation dinner on Thursday evening through the Community BBQ on Saturday after- noon. Drinking water and bathroom facilities will be available but we do encourage all participants to bring along an ample supply of potable drinking water.

Limited research equipment and supplies will be provided for scientists. In addition some travel funds are available. If you would like to apply for these funds please let us know your expected travel costs and the reason for your request.

American Prairie Reserve is located on a remote landscape which requires significant travel on gravel roads to access. We highly recommend traveling in reliable 4WD vehicles.

A Bulletin Board has been created on this website to help coordinate carpools for participants coming from regional airports. Directions and travel information will be provided to participants closer to the event dates. Watch this website for frequent updates. Questions by scientists can be directed to Kayhan Ostovar at (406) 657-1175 or kayhan.ostovar@rocky.edu.
